Mistress- A woman who wields power, authority and ownership over Her servants. They respect and serve Her loyally.
Lady- A woman holding superior social position, possessed of refinement and good manners. As befitting Her station, a Lady recieves the homage and unquestioned devotion of Her Knights or lover.
Master- A man who wields power, authority and ownership over His servants. They respect and serve Him loyally.
Lord- A man who holds the same position and status as His Lady, with one notable difference. Whilst still being an authorative figure, He bows in deference to His Lady, but to Her only.
Dominant- One who exerts control over those They own to suit Their own machinations or desires.
Submissive- One who choses to submit themselves to Others.
Slave- One who is owned by another in every conceivable manner, thus offering total subserviance and unquestioning loyalty.
Servant- One who performs duties about the House for their Liege in the D/s lifestyle.
Compassion- Sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it.
Mercy- Compassion or forbearance shown to one subject to one's power.
Love- Unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another.
